Green Tech Ventures (GTV) was co-founded by Corporate Developers, Fairmont State University Alumni and Marketing Consultants Don Thornton of Akron, Ohio and Willie James of Los Angeles, California in 2009. Since then Green Tech Ventures has expanded it's staff to included 4 additional members who cover a wide range of business expertise to include Job Training, Education, Marketing and Corporate Law.

Green Tech Ventures inaugural launch was Co-produced by Don Thornton, Founder, Chairman & CEO of Green Tech Ventures along with President, Co-Founder & Co-Chair, Willie James at a gathering in Las Vegas, Nevada of some of the world's foremost Smart Technology Inventors, Environmentalist and Green Technology Benefactors at the Trump International Hotel and World Market Center Las Vegas June 14-15, 2009. Don & Willie co-created the Las Vegas Green Tech Symposium in order to unveil new and ready-to-go cutting-edge Green Technolgy and showcase new Green Inventions. Green Tech Ventures introduced Green Technolgy Inventors to potential investors and stakeholders during the Symposium in order to help focus attention on the "Creation of Green New Jobs & Green Job Training Partnerships".
